Overview
At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians. The Associate Producer - Creator Network / Content Diversification will join a dynamic team in Ottawa to produce innovative digital content that pushes storytelling boundaries.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the unit producer, you will work on a variety of digital storytelling projects, from video and photography to written and graphic content. Your role includes pitching original ideas, mentoring emerging creators, managing multiple projects, and ensuring high journalistic quality in all projects.
- Build relationships with diverse, independent creators.
- Develop and package original stories for multiple platforms.
- Assist in all production processes including research, writing, editing and fact-checking.
- Collaborate internally and externally promoting CBC journalistic principles.
- Contribute to community building and creative content diversification.
Requirements
Candidates must have a university degree or equivalent and at least five years relevant experience. Must demonstrate strong journalism, storytelling, and relationship-building skills, with an ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously. Video production skills are an asset and a willingness to learn new digital storytelling tools is important.
Additional Details
This is a full-time, 8-month temporary long-term position with potential extension, based in Ottawa at 181 Queen Street, Ontario. Applicants will be subject to background and criminal record checks.
