The Opportunity
CBC/Radio-Canada operates one of the most advanced media technology infrastructures and one of the largest private networks in the world for the exclusive distribution of its content and services nationwide. We are seeking a meticulous Engineering Project Manager to lead and participate in technology deployment projects. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Montreal, primarily focused on local projects, with occasional travel to other sites across the country.

As an Engineering Project Manager, You Will:
- Create concepts for business partners.
- Develop practical, innovative solutions to complex problems in detail.
- Meet regularly with stakeholders to determine requirements and solutions.
- Create and control schedules and budgets. Track progress.
- Prepare schematic drawings showing layout and installation guidelines.
- Oversee procurement, from writing proposals to evaluating tender responses.
- Take responsibility for the implementation phase.
- Verify system performance and ensure deficiencies are corrected.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for the ongoing operation and maintenance of facilities.
Your Profile:
- Required Experience: Minimum of 7 years in designing and implementing diverse IT infrastructures.
- Expertise in advanced network architecture and design, with extensive hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise network solutions and real-time applications.
- Proficiency with Cisco and Arista technologies for data center infrastructures, campus networks, and a wide range of network services.
- Mastery of large-scale network deployment automation and implementation of modifications for multicast and real-time data streams.
- In-depth knowledge of complex routing protocols, Wi-Fi solutions, authentication mechanisms, WAN technologies, multicast, and the development and implementation of network security policies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering (or equivalent diploma in Applied Sciences and Technology).
- Project management skills, with a preference for Agile methodologies and experience implementing complex IT/telecommunications initiatives.
- Professional Accreditation: Membership, or eligibility for membership, in a provincial engineering association (PEO, OIQ, etc.) is mandatory.
- Bilingual communication: Fluency in English (oral and written) for effective influence and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders. French proficiency is an asset.
- Analytical and problem-solving expertise, capable of evaluating complex technical issues, designing innovative solutions, removing obstacles, and implementing short-term fixes and long-term improvements.
- Collaboration and leadership skills, fostering strong relationships with peers, clients, management, and vendors, while translating technical requirements into clear business value.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities, successfully managing multiple projects at different stages without compromising detail or quality.
- Adaptability and continuous learning, with the ability to quickly adopt new tools and technologies while staying current with industry best practices.
- Availability to travel as needed, including between CBC/Radio-Canada offices, to oversee and support project execution phases.
