The Mission

We are actively seeking a talented Project Manager to join our expanding Cloud Project Management team. The ideal candidate is empathetic, customer-obsessed, and highly organized. Your core mission will involve collaborating closely with engineering teams and customer stakeholders to achieve project goals and exceed engagement expectations. You possess proven experience managing large-scale or enterprise clients and are capable of acting as a Scrum Master to deliver high-quality solutions using a consultative approach. As a Project Manager, you will also contribute to best practice sharing and mentor new team members.

Your Assignment

  • Manage all assigned projects, including defining goals between clients and delivery teams, planning and executing projects, conducting regular touch-points, and coordinating account-related activities as required.
  • Act as Scrum Master to manage and track sprint progress against the overall project timeline.
  • Schedule and facilitate concise Daily Stand-Up meetings with the delivery team to monitor progress.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with client Product Owners and Caylent Architects to author technical User Stories.
  • Review and approve weekly time submissions and monthly invoices.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure forecasting accuracy and budget management aligned with deliverables.
  • Report weekly on project scope and budget against Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues and roadblocks.
  • Champion project experience through excellent communication and relationship building among customer stakeholders and Caylent’s delivery, sales, and leadership teams.
  • Identify and pursue additional growth opportunities during the project lifecycle to help retain and expand the Caylent client portfolio.
  • Mentor new team members through the onboarding process.
  • Assist in identifying best practices or process gaps and work to implement necessary changes.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting or professional services, managing large-scale, complex programs for Enterprise clients.
  • Prior management of technical engagements consisting of 5 or more people and exceeding a $500,000 budget.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of project management disciplines, methodologies, and tools, with the ability to develop client roadmaps.
  • Experience leading projects in an Agile/Waterfall environment using advanced tool sets (e.g., Jira, Monday, SmartSheet, Assembla).
  • Proficiency in forecasting and budgeting management to ensure accuracy in revenue projections to realization.
  • Ability to identify and manage risks, alongside proven success in escalation management for Enterprise, Strategic, or Complex clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client's business needs, encompassing both short-term objectives and long-term goals to drive additional revenue or account growth.
  • Ability to interact with clients at both a business and technical level.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to executives.
  • Ability to contribute processes, templates, and standards around project management best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership in infrastructure modernization, application development, and/or data engineering disciplines.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage engagements, and ensure their excellent execution.
  • Ability to act as a mentor to new team members during onboarding or provide coaching to peers as needed.

  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM).
  • Agile Certifications (CSM, PSM, CSP).
  • Cloud certification such as AWS Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals.

This role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.

Base Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this position is $116,000 - $145,000 CAD per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Additional Compensation Components: In addition to the base salary, the compensation package may include bonuses, commissions, equity, and other incentives. The specific components will vary depending on the role and individual and/or company performance.
