Overview

The Nurse Assistant 2 provides basic care to patients by assisting professional patient care givers in meeting identified needs. This role involves performing various patient care activities, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and supporting the team under the supervision of a professional nurse. The position is eligible for the THRIVE program which offers education and a Workforce Coach support during the first year of employment.

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $17.40 - $22.13 USD (Hourly rate)Shift: Days and Evenings with Weekend and Holiday RotationWorking Hours: 7am-7pm

Education & Experience

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited course for nursing assistance is preferred. Previous Nurse Assistant experience is also preferred.

Responsibilities & Working Conditions

  • Assist professional caregivers in patient care activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • Adhere to hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform physical tasks including balancing, kneeling, lifting, walking, and other repetitive motions

Additional Information

This role is located at Kenmore Mercy Hospital and is represented by UFCW Local 1. The role involves non-exempt overtime and is subject to inside environmental conditions.
