Education Support Officer – Nurse & Administration Lead
Permanent | ESO Grade 5 | 37.5 hours per week | 45 weeks per year

About The Role
As the Nurse & Administration Lead, you will be the first point of contact for medical assistance and wellbeing support at the College. You will play a central role in maintaining the health, safety and welfare of students and staff, while also leading the day‑to‑day operations of both Front and Student Reception. This role blends clinical expertise with leadership and high‑level administrative coordination - perfect for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful connection with the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and support the Reception Team to ensure warm, efficient and effective service delivery.
- Provide first-aid and clinical nursing care to students and staff, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the College’s health services, including first‑aid supplies, documentation, and compliance.
- Support school events by providing medical assistance and on‑site first‑aid coverage.
- Assess, treat and refer students or staff to appropriate health services as needed.
- Develop, maintain and implement health-related policies and procedures in line with CESA requirements.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, allied health professionals and leadership to support student health care plans.
- Build strong connections with external agencies and deliver relevant health education initiatives.
- Contribute to staff training, meetings and ongoing professional development.
About You
You are a calm, capable and reliable professional who can confidently manage unexpected situations with sound judgement and care. You have:
- Current qualifications and registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support others.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm approach to students, families and staff.
- Excellent organisational and administrative capability, including detailed and accurate record‑keeping.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
- A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and the ethos of Catholic education.
You Will Also Hold (or Be Willing To Obtain)
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current RRHAN-EC certification
- First Aid qualifications as directed
- Compliance with the CESA Code of Conduct and WHS responsibilities
