Salary Range: School Officer Schedule, Level 5 - $39.44 to $41.36 gross per hour PLUS 12.75% Super

Newman Catholic College, co-located on James Cook University site, Smithfield, is Cairns Catholic Education’s newest college, joining a system of 29 other Catholic schools and colleges. Opened in 2022 and growing a year level each year until Year 12 is reached in 2027, its location on and interaction with the University presents endless opportunities to meet the diverse learning needs of our students. Newman Catholic College works collaboratively with James Cook University so that learning and teaching is enhanced at all year levels.
About The Role
The role of Administration Officer, Pathways and Training is to support the school vision through leadership of the learning and teaching program, in the area of Pathways and Training. This involves developing appropriate partnerships within and outside of the college; and prudently administering available resources.
The Administration Officer will focus on delivering comprehensive administration support across various functions within the college. This includes supporting senior management, managing records, supporting the facilitation of events, coordinating enrolment processes, and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and organisational policies.
The Administration Officer will work in collaboration with the Pathways and Training Coordinator and the Principal, to support students in exploring appropriate careers and pathways. The Administration Officer is to ensure currency in Career Development, Vocational Education, and post-school pathways. The Administration Officer is part of a team and good interpersonal and communications skills are essential.
