Job Description
Role Introduction
As the IT Practice Lead at Cathay Pacific, you will formulate the strategy for IT operations processes and standards and deliver high‑quality operational outcomes across infrastructure, operations, and security domains. You will implement and manage IT operations practice frameworks, build and lead communities of practice across Infra, Operations, and Security, and ensure strong alignment with DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and define IT operations strategy, processes, and standards.
- Embed and integrate DevOps and DevSecOps practices with ITIL frameworks.
- Oversee frameworks to enhance speed, reliability, and quality in service management.
- Establish operational standards including backup, data management, and resilience.
- Streamline governance across Infrastructure, Operations, and Security.
- Maintain annual ISO20000 certification and support audits.
- Collaborate with practice leads and monitor emerging technology trends.
- Promote agile practices, provide mentorship, and influence senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience with 6+ years in operations practice.
- Proven leadership with strong coaching, advisory, and consultative skills.
- Expertise in IT operations (ITIL certified) and familiarity with Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
