Role Introduction
The Application Manager – Customers and Membership, reporting to the Head of IT Solutions, is part of Cathay Pacific's Information Technology Department under the Solution Centre. This role is within the Customer and Membership Solution Centre supporting Asia Miles platforms with innovative, scalable, and secure technology solutions that enhance member engagement, streamline loyalty operations, and enable data-driven personalization.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop IT investment plans and oversee application roadmaps.
- Technology Optimization: Collaborate with architecture teams to leverage and introduce advanced practices.
- Agile Practices: Promote DevSecOps, CI/CD, Scrum, and other methodologies.
- Data Governance: Ensure data flow and compliance with regulatory policies.
- Solution Delivery: Lead end-to-end delivery ensuring budget and timeline adherence.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders for scalable, cost-effective solutions.
- Innovation Leadership: Drive emerging technology adoption to improve service delivery.
- Vendor Management: Manage external service providers for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage application budgets aligned with targets.
- Team Development: Coach and mentor IT team members to foster best practices.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least 12 years in IT, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is required. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to manage diverse teams across in-house, offshore, and external resources. Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills are essential along with expertise in business analysis, software development, project management, and an awareness of current and emerging technology trends.
