Business Process Analyst(BI Infrastructure Solution Lead)_

Job Summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a skilled Business Process Analyst (BI Infrastructure Solution Lead) to join the India GCC - Enterprise Data & Integration Services – CAT IT Division. This role is preferably based in Bangalore, India.

What You Will Do

• Provide continuous support for all enterprise BI tool environments.
• Offer technical support for BI tool enterprise software applications used for visualization, including Business Dashboards, Data Discovery, Big Data Analysis, Data Visualization, Mapping, Data Stories, Time Series, and Mobile Business Intelligence.
• Perform capacity planning and installation of new hardware and software to align with Business Unit projects.
• Work directly with BI Tool Vendors to resolve product issues.
• Follow existing change management and incident/problem management processes.
• Document and communicate issues/findings/problems to business partners and other infrastructure support team members.
• Develop, enhance, support, and validate monitoring and alerting capabilities of the BI Tool environments.
• Provide consultation to business units or partners within Caterpillar.

What You Will Have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Business Intelligence platform services.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in infrastructure or application support.
• Advanced understanding of Windows Server Operating System.
• Advanced understanding of Apache/Tomcat application servers.
• Experience writing, testing, and using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Solid understanding of modern web technologies and trends (e.g., REST APIs, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, demonstrated through at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proven ability to work independently and in team environments, ideally in fast-paced or cross-functional settings.
• The position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-week schedule in the office.
• Shift Timing: EMEA Shift: 01:00 PM - 10:00 PM IST.
