Curriculum Writer

CATCH Global Foundation is seeking a part-time Curriculum Writer to contribute to the development and improvement of health education and vaping prevention curricula. This role reports to the Director of Curriculum and Content.

CATCH Global Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving child health worldwide by empowering educators with curriculum, training, and support. We partner with various organizations to create a measurable impact on children's health. Our team is fully remote, with staff across the U.S., fostering a dynamic and collaborative culture. While many staff are based in Austin, TX, we operate virtually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a curriculum development team to plan and execute a comprehensive Health Education program for kindergarten through second grade, including engaging, student-centered activities and instructional resources. Additional grade levels will be added in subsequent years.
  • Work with a content production team to create engaging, inclusive, and adaptable instructional resources and materials for diverse educators and students.
  • Write approximately 30-40 lessons and related content annually, aligned with national and state learning standards and best practices. Ensure the program is culturally responsive, equity-minded, evidence-based, and meets the needs of CATCH’s diverse school partners.
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance of the CATCH My Breath vaping prevention program, including managing international adaptation projects.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum & Content.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a graduate degree or certification in Education or Public Health is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in writing, designing, and developing K-12 education standards-aligned curricular programs and/or resources, specifically in health education and elementary education.
  • Recent teaching experience in a K-8 setting is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of current education technology tools and trends is preferred.
  • Content expertise in health & nutrition education, substance-misuse prevention, and K-2 pedagogy.
