About the Role
The Support Home Provider (SHP) position at CASS Human Resources is designed for individuals passionate about making a real difference in marginalized populations. You will support daily living activities for clients in a shared home environment, including personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support with personal care and daily living tasks.
- Assist with housekeeping, meal planning, and budgeting.
- Manage support schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and possibly daytime.
- Operate as a sub-contractor with tax reporting responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Post secondary education in Human Services or a Diploma in Disability Studies.
- Current Emergency or Standard First Aid including CPR/AED.
- Satisfactory police information check with vulnerable sectors search.
- Experience with supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and vehicle are assets.
