What You’ll Do
The Database Administrator will be responsible for all activities related to the deployment, implementation, and administration of databases including control, maintenance, and support of all database environments and related applications. Perform all duties in accordance with Company guidelines and applicable federal, state and local regulations. The target pay range for this position is $95,000.00 to $120,000.00.
- Implement and administer MS SQL Server databases in support of in-house developed and vendor applications.
- Implement and execute maintenance plans to maximize availability, performance, and reliability of databases.
- Implement measures of availability, performance, and reliability of databases.
- Implement and execute a backup / disaster recovery plan for all databases via various technologies (log shipping, Always On, SAN replication, etc.).
- Review, plan, test, and implement database upgrades while adhering to all change management policies and procedures.
- Work in conjunction with program owners in the review, planning, testing, and implementation of program upgrades dependent on database technology.
- Advise, educate and make recommendations to system analysts and other staff on administration policies and procedures and technical methods.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity and performance problems.
- Collect and present relevant application and database performance statistics including server performance and trend analysis.
- Coordinate configuration, installation, and setup of application and database servers as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with production systems; escalate issues and facilitates resolution.
- Guide development of technical documentation for production applications.
- Document business applications architecture and process flow using MS Visio or other modeling tool.
- Identify requirements and makes technical recommendations based on industry best-practices according to identified requirements.
- Develop technical subject matter expertise on business application systems.

- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a MS SQL Server Database Administrator role.
- Experience with Microsoft Access and/or other databases.
- Microsoft Azure Managed Instance Experience a plus.
