Role Summary

As a Copado DevOps professional, you will collaborate closely with the DSS COE product, engineering, and implementation teams to achieve roadmap objectives and new commitments. This pivotal role involves optimizing Carrier’s Salesforce development and deployment processes using Copado, an industry-leading release management platform. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Salesforce solutions, enhance automation, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our release cycles.

Carrier leads in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Refrigeration, and Fire & Security segments, offering an unmatched product and service portfolio. Our Digital Commerce, Channels, and Experience Center of Excellence team comprises exceptional talent, making a significant impact on the company's direction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Copado environments, including setting up pipelines, release processes, and version control integrations, to ensure efficient and accurate deployments.
• Work closely with Salesforce developers, administrators, and business analysts to support the development lifecycle, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts and processes using Copado to streamline and improve the efficiency of our release management processes.
• Monitor deployment processes and workflows to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to development and production environments.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Provide regular updates and reports on release metrics and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, provide technical support, and contribute to solution design and implementation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to optimize release management workflows.

Key Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience working on global, multi-year initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Copado environments, including setting up pipelines and release processes.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components, as well as experience with version control systems like Git.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automated deployment scripts and processes to enhance release management efficiency.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Business owner mentality, willingness to take initiative and ensure tasks are completed.
• A positive, collaborative work ethic as a team player.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience supporting enterprise-level engineering teams.
• 5+ years of experience in Salesforce administration or development, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Copado or similar release management tools.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Agile methodologies in a working environment – including demand prioritization, planning, and execution to deliver software solutions.
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree and/or similar secondary degree.
• Experience working with multicultural, multilingual, and multiple time zone, global environments.
• The ability to simplify complex issues, quickly define core problems, and frame solution approaches.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing software segments.
• Salesforce Administrator or Developer certification is preferred.
• Copado certification is a plus.
