Job Summary
The Retail Operations Assistant works closely with ownership and management to oversee daily retail operations. This hands-on role involves merchandising, ordering, inventory management, quality control, customer service, and personnel oversight.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Retail Operations Manager in daily store operations
- Check in freight and ensure quality control standards
- Merchandise displays and seasonal resets
- Supervise, train, and organize retail staff
- Resolve quality control issues and implement solutions
- Oversee closing duties and prepare the store for the next day
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone
- Manage customer concerns with a solution-oriented approach
- Work a typical shift from 10am to 7pm with overtime opportunities
Requirements
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a retail setting
- Proven leadership ability in task completion
- Excellent merchandising and display skills
- Strong work ethic and multitasking ability
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work weekends and adjust hours seasonally
- Produce or Garden Center experience is a plus
- 1-2 years of product ordering experience is a plus
