Job Summary

The Retail Operations Assistant works closely with ownership and management to oversee daily retail operations. This hands-on role involves merchandising, ordering, inventory management, quality control, customer service, and personnel oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Retail Operations Manager in daily store operations
  • Check in freight and ensure quality control standards
  • Merchandise displays and seasonal resets
  • Supervise, train, and organize retail staff
  • Resolve quality control issues and implement solutions
  • Oversee closing duties and prepare the store for the next day
  • Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone
  • Manage customer concerns with a solution-oriented approach
  • Work a typical shift from 10am to 7pm with overtime opportunities

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a retail setting
  • Proven leadership ability in task completion
  • Excellent merchandising and display skills
  • Strong work ethic and multitasking ability
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Availability to work weekends and adjust hours seasonally
  • Produce or Garden Center experience is a plus
  • 1-2 years of product ordering experience is a plus
