Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking an Information Technology CAD Support Specialist to provide technical support and expertise for CAD software and related IT systems.

Responsibilities

The Information Technology CAD Support Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Providing first- and second-level support for CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) and resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining CAD applications and associated hardware (workstations, plotters, graphic cards).
  • Assisting with CAD software licensing management and compliance.
  • Collaborating with IT and engineering teams to develop CAD standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Conducting user training and creating documentation for software features and troubleshooting processes.
  • Monitoring system performance and implementing solutions to optimize CAD environments.
  • Coordinating with vendors for software upgrades, patches, and technical support.
  • Managing inventory and procurement of CAD-related hardware and software.
  • Keeping current with emerging CAD technologies and recommending productivity improvements.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have proven experience supporting CAD software in an IT environment, strong knowledge of CAD/Engineering software applications (such as Bentley ProjectWise, InRoads, AutoCAD, Autodesk, InDesign, iPlot, MicroStation, Sketchup), familiarity with Windows environments, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication for user support and training. Experience with Microsoft Teams and Office 365 is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with 2-5 years of professional IT CAD support experience, updated BIM technology knowledge, strong organizational skills, and relevant certifications in CAD/BIM or IT support are highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $100,000 to $105,000 annually. Carollo Engineers offers a competitive benefits package including paid time off, health insurance, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, and more. Flexible work arrangements may be available.
