Responsibilities of a Civil/Environmental Engineering Intern
- Perform engineering tasks in areas like water and wastewater treatment, and construction services.
- Contribute to engineering designs for various projects.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed reports.
- Help develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for diverse projects.
- Review submittals to ensure performance and conformity with established plans and specifications.
- Aid in the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
- Engage in data entry and analysis to support project objectives.
- Participate in field activities, including site investigations and pilot testing.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Currently finishing or have completed your junior year of college.
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience or coursework specifically in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance.
- Previous related internship experience is beneficial, though not mandatory.
- Passed or scheduled to take the FE/EIT exam.
- Experience utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, or Sketch Up.
