Job Purpose and Impact
The Food Safety Quality Specialist will ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements for quality and food safety. You will develop an in-depth understanding of specific systems, ensure customer satisfaction, minimize process variation, support process recovery, reduce waste, and control costs.
Key Accountabilities
- Handle customer audits, initiatives and follow ups.
- Approve final production and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Maintain and coordinate chemist technician partnership and training systems.
- Provide process improvement support, specialized testing, training, audit systems and data analysis.
- Assess quality parameters including raw materials, calibration, procedures, food safety and analytical testing oversight.
- Independently resolve moderately complex issues and escalate as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent and minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
Preferred: Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve process and laboratory problems.
Position Information
This position is based in Blair, NE. Relocation assistance is provided for this role.
