Maintenance Worker II

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, performs a wide range of skilled mechanical maintenance and repair work related to the building, equipment, and operating systems as per the Carewest standards.

Representative work includes:

• Demand facility maintenance as required by the customer.
• Preventative maintenance on all facility systems and equipment, which includes but not limited to HVAC, Life safety systems, Nurse Call, Telephones, patient beds and lifts, plumbing and drainage systems.
• Provide assistance to all other maintenance staff, as well as contractors.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma is required.
• Vehicle and valid Alberta Driver's License required.
• Minimum two years related experience in building maintenance in an institutional setting is required.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Demonstrated experience working with customers.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Basic computer skills are required for daily use of the AHS e-Facilities system.
