Overview
The Planning and Operations Specialist II at CareOregon is responsible for leading, facilitating, and monitoring planning and operations within the assigned business unit. The role involves strategic deployment and operational implementation of the business unit's plans, projects, and initiatives.
Projects and Planning
The candidate will:
- Monitor and guide the department-wide portfolio of projects and performance dashboards.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical/operational strategies.
- Develop and administer the team’s annual strategic plan with clear goals and metrics.
- Recommend and implement a monitoring system to track progress.
- Liaise with other departments and lead project management for business unit initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration, remove barriers, and drive change management.
Operations
The role also involves:
- Developing and administering operational infrastructure for efficiency and quality.
- Assessing and implementing process improvements supporting strategic initiatives.
- Facilitating cross-department communication and managing meeting infrastructures.
- Collaborating with data analysts to extract and present relevant data.
Requirements
Experience and Education: Minimum 2 years of experience in planning and operations, project management, or program management. Training in lean or related process improvement techniques is required.
Preferred: Experience in planning, operations, or project management within the specific departmental focus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understanding project management principles, quality assessment, and (preferred) familiarity with Oregon Medicaid/Medicare and health plan financing. Must demonstrate strong organizational, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Working Conditions
This is an indoor/office role with occasional travel. The position involves regular use of general office equipment and may require extended periods of repetitive tasks.
