About the Role
The Software Engineer SQL DB will serve as the ServiceNow Architect and Lead Developer, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality ServiceNow solutions that align with CareFirst's strategic roadmap. This leadership role involves collaborating with business units, managing technical design, and mentoring teams to build scalable and secure applications.
- Oversee technical design, debugging, and testing of applications.
- Develop custom integrations, ensuring cloud readiness and security.
- Guide code quality and best practices across the team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
- Mentor engineers and evaluate emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
The candidate will lead design, development, and implementation of multiple ServiceNow applications and modules, perform meticulous technical reviews, and ensure robust integrations with legacy and third-party systems. Responsibilities also include managing deployment, configuration, performance optimization, and providing advanced technical support.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science (or equivalent experience), 10+ years in software development, proven ServiceNow expertise (including certifications), strong database knowledge including SQL, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automation. Communication and mentoring skills are essential.
