Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients, a Staff Mobile Engineer - Crypto. This is a fully remote role for candidates based in North America/Europe. The client is building the next generation of DeFi trading, powered by Hyperliquid, with a mission to democratize access to global financial markets—including crypto, equities, and commodities—by leveraging decentralized technology.

As the largest builder on Hyperliquid, they have processed over $65 billion in cumulative trading volume, generated eight figures in revenue over the past year, and grown to over 400,000 registered traders. They are a small, elite team of individual contributors who value autonomy, ownership, and rapid execution, operating in a low-process, high-trust environment ideal for those who thrive in 0-to-1 phases and want to be directly responsible for products used by millions.

The team believes React Native can deliver experiences indistinguishable from native apps when crafted with care. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and product, turning raw speed into a premium experience that feels intentional in the palm of a user's hand.

What You’ll Do

• Set Direction: Drive the technical and experiential roadmap for PVP’s mobile platform.
• Build High-Performance UIs: Develop elegant React Native interfaces for real-time trading, analytics, and social features.
• Craft Motion: Implement fluid animations, expressive gestures, and tactile feedback to create a "premium" feel.
• Architect Systems: Design a resilient real-time data layer using TypeScript to handle WebSockets and connectivity changes gracefully.
• Bridge Native Modules: Unlock advanced platform capabilities or UI primitives not achievable in JavaScript alone.
• Collaborate: Partner with backend engineers to design bandwidth-efficient APIs and data flows.
• Iterate & Polish: Continuously identify and fix UI jank, visual inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: 5+ years of shipping production React Native applications using TypeScript.
• Animation Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with React Native Reanimated and React Native Gesture Handler.
• Visual Flair: Experience with Shopify React Native Skia or similar low-level rendering tools for custom charts and visuals.
• Performance Expertise: Proven ability to maintain 60 FPS experiences across complex animated lists and real-time views.
• Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of iOS and Android layout, motion, and interaction nuances.
• Product Mindset: Experience owning features end-to-end—from initial prototype to App Store/Play Store release.
• Tooling: Familiarity with profiling using Flipper, Xcode Instruments, or Android Studio.

Bonus Points

• Native experience in Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin.
• A background in highly interactive consumer products (trading apps, games, or creative tools).
• Open-source contributions to the React Native ecosystem.

Compensation & Package

Up to $250k Max on the Base for exceptional candidates. Tokens/Equity also part of the package.
