Job Description
About Career Renew's Client
Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients, a Solidity Engineer - On-Chain Data Exchange. This is a fully remote role for candidates based in Europe.
We are tackling one of the most critical challenges in technology today: unlocking the immense power of private data without compromising privacy. We are building the AI-native data platform that allows major industries—from finance and energy to supply chain and construction—to securely analyze and act on their most sensitive information.
This is your opportunity to work at the intersection of privacy, big data, and artificial intelligence. You won't just be writing code; you'll be creating the foundational tools that enable companies to make smarter, data-driven decisions. If you're passionate about solving complex problems and want to have a tangible impact on how data is used intelligently and ethically, join us and help define the next generation of AI.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Solidity Engineer - On-Chain Data Exchange to build the core smart contract infrastructure for a tokenized data exchange powering enterprise-grade AI and analytics workflows. You’ll design and implement smart contracts that enable data discovery, licensing, and pricing—on-chain. This includes modules inspired by DEXs, NFT marketplaces, and perp-style financial infrastructure, adapted for the unique constraints of enterprise data. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience building in Solidity, strong familiarity with EVM-based applications, and deep comfort working with DeFi primitives and advanced token standards.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement core contracts for the Interval Data Exchange, including:
- On-chain orderbooks or matching logic
- NFT-based data certificates (ERC-725, ERC-735)
- Licensing primitives (ERC-5006 / custom access control)
- Pricing modules (fixed, dynamic, oracles, AMM-style models)
- Integrate with L1 settlement layer and bridge infrastructure
- Write modular, gas-optimized, and auditable Solidity code
- Collaborate with frontend/backend, protocol, and enterprise teams to align smart contracts with user needs
- Write test suites using Hardhat, Foundry, or similar frameworks
- Participate in contract audits, upgrades, and mainnet deployments
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building Solidity contracts for production applications
- Deep familiarity with EVM mechanics: storage layout, events, proxy patterns, calldata management
- Hands-on experience with DEXs, NFT exchanges, or perp-style trading systems
- Strong understanding of pricing mechanisms (e.g. oracles, TWAPs, bonding curves, auctions, etc.)
- Proficient with Hardhat, Foundry, or Brownie; Git-based workflows
- Experience shipping audited smart contracts to mainnet (please include examples)
Nice to Have
- Experience with advanced token standards: ERC-725, ERC-735, ERC-5006
- Prior work on data licensing, data marketplaces, or enterprise analytics systems
- Familiarity with gas optimizations, proxy upgrade patterns, and reentrancy mitigations
- Open-source contributions or published research/code in Solidity or DeFi
- Strong interest in bridging enterprise systems with on-chain infrastructure
Why Join Us
- Help define the on-chain standard for enterprise data exchange
- Work with a cross-disciplinary team spanning blockchain, AI, and enterprise systems
- Contribute to novel use cases for NFTs, access control, and data pricing
- Backed by top-tier investors and enterprise design partners
Key skills/competency
- Solidity Development
- EVM Mechanics
- Smart Contract Architecture
- Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs)
- NFT Marketplaces
- Pricing Mechanisms
- Hardhat/Foundry
- On-Chain Data Exchange
- Blockchain Security
- Data Privacy
