About the Role
The Data Engineer at Care Continuity will design and implement scalable, reliable ETL pipelines that power our core data platform. You will work closely with product, data analytics, data science, and engineering teams to ensure the pipelines align with end-user needs while shaping our data infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable data models for downstream analysis and reporting
- Create and optimize data pipelines for efficient data processing
- Define data engineering standards, tooling, and architecture
- Implement data quality checks, logging, and monitoring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust workflows
- Develop clean, testable code for transformation logic and pipeline orchestration
- Produce clear documentation and runbooks
Requirements
- 3–6+ years of data engineering experience
- Strong background with ETL pipeline tools (Airflow, dbt, Spark)
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases
- Experience with healthcare data formats like HL7, FHIR, CDA/CCD
- Experience in designing data models for analytics and machine learning
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity
Nice to Have
- Healthcare data experience (SNOMED, ICD-10, CDA)
- Experience building data pipelines in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation tools
- Exposure to predictive modeling or ML pipelines
Salary & Benefits
Estimated salary range: $130,000 - $155,000, based on skills and experience. Benefits include a comprehensive package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)), equity opportunities, flexible PTO, and a fully remote work environment.
