About Cardinal Health Privacy Manager Role
The Privacy Manager role at Cardinal Health is central to providing advice, counsel, and support in privacy and data protection. This role works within the Enterprise Privacy Office and across business units to ensure compliance with evolving privacy laws and practices.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a functional privacy expert for specialty businesses.
- Advise business leaders and counsel on privacy issues including data protection, retention, usage, security, and breach management.
- Provide legislative guidance and manage regulatory inquiries related to privacy.
- Review and negotiate privacy and data processing agreements.
- Develop and deploy privacy policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Direct investigations and resolution of privacy incidents in coordination with leadership.
Requirements
- Expertise in HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and U.S. privacy laws.
- Experience in digital healthcare and technology solutions.
- Strong collaboration, project management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of international privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) preferred. Certifications such as CHPC, CHPS, or CIPP are a plus.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
Anticipated salary range: $103,500 - $147,900. This role is bonus eligible and offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off and additional wellness programs.
