Overview

The Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Cardinal Health is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management framework. This role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to protect the organization’s assets, reputation, and operations. It reports to the Senior Vice President of Internal Audit and oversees a cross-functional team including two direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously improve an enterprise-wide risk framework.
  • Identify and assess operational, regulatory, technology, financial, strategic, and reputational risks.
  • Collaborate with risk owners to create mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Monitor risk management processes and provide risk reporting to committees, boards, and c-suite.
  • Partner with internal audit and compliance teams for coordinated risk efforts.
  • Develop and deliver risk management training programs.
  • Engage in external partnerships to stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, risk management or a related field, plus 10+ years of experience in risk management or a similar role, is required. Candidates must demonstrate proven leadership, strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to influence outcomes across the organization.

Compensation & Benefits

This role is bonus eligible with an anticipated salary range of $116,500 - $207,755. Cardinal Health offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, and various wellness programs.
