Overview

The Data Protection Engineer at Cardinal Health supports the data protection team by architecting, designing, and implementing technology solutions to protect data in motion and at rest. You will work closely with the tech lead and manager to drive advancements in technology, integrate security tools, and support corporate leadership requests.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support data protection technology advancements.
  • Assist with GCP Big Query initiatives including scan configurations and reporting.
  • Manage policies, configuration of security rule sets, and drive CASB integrations.
  • Implement DLP security and monitoring controls for M&A and Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Information Security, Data Governance and business units.
  • Participate in daily remediation activities and POC efforts for new technologies.

Desired Qualifications

Prior experience with CASB, email encryption, XSOAR solutions, GCP-native security, SIEM query development, and Zero Trust principles is highly valued. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and 6-8 years of relevant experience are preferred. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CISM, CCSP, and others are a plus.
