Job Summary

The Representative II, Customer Care Order Placement is responsible for processing customer orders for medical supplies, acting as a liaison for order issues, and providing resolutions in a high-volume call center environment. This role involves managing the entire order placement lifecycle, from initial contact to final resolution, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as a "Universal Agent" supporting the entire order placement lifecycle.
  • Handle approximately 60-90 incoming calls per day, addressing customer needs for order placement, product information, order status, discrepancies, and complaints.
  • Process orders for new and existing customers, collecting necessary information for insurance billing and payment.
  • Navigate multiple computer programs and internal systems to resolve customer concerns and provide order status updates.
  • Interpret insurance terminology and plans to explain them clearly to customers.
  • Explain products and offerings to ensure compatibility with customer conditions.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude.
  • Adhere to business processes and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume call center.
  • Previous experience in a remote/work-from-home setting is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with order placement systems and tools is preferred.
  • Customer service experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Root cause analysis experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with call-center phone systems.

Work Environment and Remote Details

This is a full-time remote position. New hire training will be Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST, with mandatory attendance. Post-training, schedules will be determined by shift bid based on business needs, requiring flexibility to work any hours between 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM EST, including Saturdays.

As a remote employee, a dedicated, quiet, private, and distraction-free work environment with high-speed internet is required. Specific internet requirements include:

  • High-speed broadband connection (DSL, Cable, or Fiber). Wi-Fi, satellite, and cellular/hotspot connections are not acceptable.
  • Minimum download speed of 25Mbps (50Mbps recommended).
