Overview

The Assistant Revenue Cycle Management Billing at Cardinal Health supports practice operations by handling the clinical and administrative processes involved in capturing, billing, and collecting patient service revenue. This role directly supports the largest private oncology practice in California by simplifying and optimizing the revenue cycle from prior authorization through billing and collections.

Responsibilities

  • Research, correct, and resubmit rejected clean claims electronically or by paper.
  • Maintain accurate records of billing activity and claims.
  • Monitor multiple accounts ensuring compliance with payer rules.
  • Respond to inquiries professionally and timely.
  • Demonstrate accountability and work with minimal supervision.
  • Prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment maintaining high accuracy.
  • Apply working knowledge of DOFRs and IPAs in billing workflows.
  • Verify claims for required authorization and provider credentialing.
  • Utilize internal tools and payer-specific resources for clean submissions.
  • Collaborate with leads and supervisors to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

Candidates should have 0-2 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with insurance reimbursement procedures, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and medical billing policies is essential, while preferred candidates may also have training in medical billing and exposure to Oncology, Radiation, and Urology billing.
