Project Programme Manager
Carbon3.ai is building the UK 92s AI solution platform by developing, owning, and operating AI infrastructure across the UK powered by renewable energy. The company transforms legacy industrial and energy sites into modern data centre facilities to support sectors such as healthcare, research, finance, enterprise, and the public sector.
Role Overview
This hands-on role is focused on delivery across core business functions: data centre development, infrastructure deployment, software development, marketing, community engagement, and internal capability building. You will drive execution by bringing structure to complex workstreams, identifying risks early, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-site GPU infrastructure deployments with technical teams and vendors
- Establish delivery frameworks for software development and manage release cycles
- Drive marketing campaigns, customer pilots, and community engagement initiatives
- Lead internal capability programmes including training and process improvement
- Manage vendor relationships and contract deliverables
- Establish programme governance and effective reporting
Essential Experience
Applicants should have robust programme/project management experience, ideally in a technology or infrastructure setting. Experience in managing technical infrastructure or software development projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies is required. The role demands an ability to translate technical details between engineers and business stakeholders, and a data-driven approach to risk management.
Desirable Experience
- Background in AI/ML infrastructure or GPU computing
- Understanding of high availability, high security, and sovereign cloud requirements
- Experience in high-growth tech companies and UK public sector procurement
