Role Overview
The Risk Management Team is integral to the firm, responsible for comprehensively measuring, monitoring, and managing Capstone's risks. The team identifies, quantifies, evaluates, and reports risks stemming from trading strategies across all asset classes. You will work in close collaboration with trading and technology teams to develop and maintain essential tools for risk management and analytics, ensuring managers are well-informed of existing and potential risks to both the firm and its investors.
Placement options for this internship include roles within Risk Technology or the core Risk team.
Who We Are Looking For
- Current undergraduate or master’s student
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Python or Java, particularly with hands-on project work, is highly advantageous
- Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
- Graduating in 2026 or 2027
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets
- Experience in writing Python code, utilizing libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Dash, Plotly, Flask, and Django
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts is beneficial

The hourly compensation for this role ranges from $29.00 to $40.00 USD. The precise hourly rate offered will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, specific skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements. Each decision is made on a case-by-case basis.
