Caprock Academy is seeking a Business Office Associate - Human Resources and Accounts Receivable. This role is essential in supporting the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the school.

Caprock Academy is a public, tuition-free charter school that follows a classical education philosophy, using the Core Knowledge© curriculum for grades K–8. The school focuses on content-rich instruction with a strong foundation in language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, fine arts, and physical education.
Position Summary
The Business Office Associate reports to the Head of School and is responsible for a wide range of duties spanning Human Resources, back office support, and financial bookkeeping. This role ensures the integrity of employee records, assists in managing payroll, benefits, and financial transactions, while also maintaining office supplies and equipment.
Essential Duties
Staff/Human Resources Related Duties:
- Manage timekeeping and update employee records.
- Assist in processing HR documents including benefits and payroll.
- Collaborate on employee relations, performance evaluations, and exit interviews.
- Support the management of hiring processes and compliance with employment laws.
Back Office Responsibilities:
- Maintain office equipment, supplies, and copy codes.
- Handle daily operational tasks and support HR/Finance Managers.
Financial/Bookkeeping Duties:
- Process bills, reimbursements, payroll journal entries and deposits.
- Reconcile funds, prepare financial reports, and maintain records.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications include an Associate degree or higher in accounting or a related field, proficiency in QuickBooks, and preference for experience in charter or independent school environments. Candidates must exhibit outstanding organizational skills, professionalism, communication, initiative, and a proactive work ethic.
