Senior Marketing Planning Lead, Capital One Software
Capital One Software is the enterprise B2B software business of Capital One, dedicated to helping organizations manage their data in the cloud with speed, agility, and efficiency. Born out of our own digital transformation, we commercialize the internal tools that powered our journey to becoming the first major U.S. bank to go "all-in" on the public cloud.
Our flagship products, Slingshot (data cloud optimization) and Databolt (data security), are designed to solve the most complex data management and AI-readiness challenges.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the marketing operating rhythm, including annual budget planning and quarterly campaign planning.
- Design and manage the central intake process for all marketing requests.
- Facilitate prioritization sessions to ensure resources are focused on the highest impact work.
- Act as the primary liaison for LRCC (Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Corporate Communications) approvals. You will optimize the review process to ensure campaign speed-to-market without compromising Capital One’s compliance standards.
- Agency & Vendor Management: Lead the relationship with external creative agencies and MarTech vendors. Partner with ESM (Enterprise Supplier Management) and BAR (Brand Agency Relations) to manage contracts, performance SLAs, and risk assessments.
- Maintain the master marketing calendar and provide executive-level reporting on campaign health, project status, and resource utilization. You will bridge the gap between Brand Creative, Product Marketing teams defining the vision, and the Risk/Legal teams ensuring we protect the brand.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Project Management, or Marketing Planning
- At least 3 years of experience managing marketing budgets and financial forecasting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience navigating complex legal or compliance review cycles in financial services or a similar industry
- Demonstrated ability to use project management tools (for example: Workfront or Jira) and CRM platforms (for example: Salesforce CSM)
