About the Senior Manager Global Payment Network ISO Consultant Role
At Capital One, you will help consult on initiatives, programs, and projects to enhance Information Security. You combine pragmatic risk understanding with a readiness to engage specialized experts as needed. You collaborate across teams and innovate to push security boundaries within the organization.
Responsibilities
The role involves acting as a central Information Security point of contact for the Global Payment Networks line of business. You will:
- Provide cybersecurity architecture advisory support for a modern platform.
- Coordinate and execute proactive Information Security consulting across infrastructure, resiliency, data security, network architecture, and user access management.
- Serve as an expert on Capital One’s Information Security capabilities, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with enterprise cyber teams and tech architects to define and drive security strategy.
- Oversee cyber dependencies for technology modernization initiatives.
- Influence teams to integrate security into development processes.
- Escalate and manage cyber security risks and provide ad-hoc support on critical topics.
- Communicate updates to executive leadership regarding security health and risk.
- Support the mapping of technologies to standardized cybersecurity frameworks.
About You
You are passionate about securing modern computing platforms and continuously learning new technologies. You possess strong communication skills, can work under minimal supervision, and lead with a team-oriented approach. You maintain composure under pressure and have a deep understanding of strategic business objectives.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT
- 5+ years providing guidance on cyber security concepts
- 5+ years in cyber risk assessments or architecture reviews
- 4+ years with cloud security
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7+ years in securing public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- 6+ years in cybersecurity advisory and technology consulting
- 6+ years in Cyber Risk Management
- 3+ years working with cryptography and similar systems
- Experience with payment networks and compliance (PCI)
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and CISSP
Additional Information
Salary ranges vary by location. For Chicago, IL, the range is $204,900 - $233,800 and for McLean, VA, it is $225,400 - $257,200. This role is eligible for performance based incentive compensation. Capital One offers a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants must note no immigration sponsorship is available.
