Role Description

This role focuses on executing and delivering comprehensive audits for Second Line Risk Management. The candidate will lead audits on areas such as Risk and Control Methodology, Risk Identification, Risk Appetite, Issue and Event Management, and Third Party Risk Management for Discover Financial Services integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead large, complex audits across enterprise risk areas.
• Design audit procedures to assess risk governance frameworks and internal controls.
• Utilize data and analytics tools during audit planning and execution.
• Communicate comprehensive audit results through reports and presentations.
• Manage team members and provide coaching for continuous improvement.

Travel and Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 in-person days per week with approximately 10-15% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent military experience.
• At least 7 years in auditing/risk management with 5 years leading audits.
• Preferred advanced degrees and professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, or similar.
• Experience in financial services and data analytics is a plus.
