Overview
The Product Designer Principal Associate at Capital One is key to creating memorable, meaningful product experiences that build the Capital One brand and drive innovation. You will work within a collaborative Experience Design team dedicated to enriching both digital and physical customer interactions.
Role Expectations
In this role, you will combine design craft expertise with deep customer and business understanding to co-create innovative solutions. You are expected to:
- Product Design Expertise: Leverage skills in interaction, visual and service design to produce artifacts such as journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs and prototypes.
- Human-Centered Design: Champion customer needs using data and research insights while considering technical constraints.
- Business-Focused Strategies: Align design decisions with customer and business strategies in collaboration with partners.
- Problem-Solving: Utilize emerging technologies and technical insights to identify design opportunities.
- Collaboration & Communication: Build relationships, break down silos and effectively present design work across teams.
Qualifications
Basic: At least 3 years experience as a Product Designer with proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma.
Preferred: 4+ years experience in product design, extended collaboration with technical and business teams, and experience with established design systems, especially in regulated and data heavy environments.
