Principal Coordinator, Paralegal at Capital One

As a Principal Coordinator, Paralegal at Capital One, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to our Legal team. This critical role involves assisting with all stages of corporate transactions and ensuring the meticulous preparation of documents required for corporate and local regulatory compliance in our business activities.

General Responsibilities

  • Document Preparation: Prepare and meticulously edit various legal documents, including Board Resolutions, affidavits, contracts, agreements, demand letters, decisions, and suspension memorandums. You will also be responsible for preparing incorporation papers, documents for capital stock increases, and handling corporation cases, as well as other corporate documentary requirements.
  • Research: Conduct thorough research on diverse legal topics, encompassing statutes, case law, and relevant regulations to support the legal team's initiatives.
  • Contract Management Support: Provide essential assistance with contract management tasks, which include detailed document review and comprehensive data analysis.
  • Transactional Support: Assist with various transactional tasks, such as conducting due diligence and reviewing pertinent documents to facilitate corporate operations.
  • Client/Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key communicator with clients and stakeholders, effectively responding to inquiries, providing timely updates, and accurately obtaining necessary information.
  • File Management: Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date files, ensuring both physical and electronic records are managed efficiently and securely.
  • Time Management: Demonstrate excellent time management skills by effectively managing multiple tasks and deadlines, prioritizing workload as needed to meet departmental objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A graduate of Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor (JD), or having successfully completed at least the 2nd year of Law school.
  • Professional Experience: Possess at least 2-3 years of proven experience in the legal field, demonstrating solid experience with a wide range of corporate documents.
  • Legal Understanding: Must have a basic understanding of Corporation/Commercial Laws, Immigration Laws, Labor Laws, and corporate governance principles.
