About The Role
As a Principal Associate, Product Management, you will help people create meaningful interactions with Capital One through various initiatives, including:
- Giving customers the confidence to apply without rejection using Quick Check, our credit card eligibility tool.
- Enhancing the credit card application experience to encourage early adoption of digital habits.
- Managing and scaling data and machine learning platforms across the organization to deliver smart, personalized experiences.
- Creating easy digital solutions that help customers address fraud and quickly resume using their card.
- Developing assistance programs to help customers who are struggling with their payments.
- Providing customers with relevant details about their account conveniently within the mobile app.
Your Responsibilities
As a Principal Associate, Product Management, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas:
Human Centered
- Lead sourcing and synthesis of customer discovery efforts to understand customer needs, driving the long-term vision for your product.
- Translate these customer insights into actionable strategies that will define your team's priorities and rally stakeholders to your vision.
Business Focused
- Own and prioritize the product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure alignment of resources for success.
- Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your product, measuring and tracking progress, and refining your roadmap based on data.
Technology Driven
- Possess an end-to-end understanding of your product and its place in the larger ecosystem, anticipating impacts from changes across the business.
- Collaborate closely with tech leadership and architecture to understand technical trade-offs and their impact on the customer experience, always ensuring the best tool is used for the job.
Transformational Leadership
- Rally your teams and senior stakeholders to your product vision, proactively leveraging relationships across the ecosystem to align with your vision and influence prioritization among partner teams.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Product Management experience with software products.
- Experience successfully delivering a software product.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills; able to make data-driven decisions and provide recommendations to drive action.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management.
- Experience in financial services, technology, or operations.
