Job Overview

Capital Health, a leader in quality patient care and a five-time Magnet-Recognized health system, is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for part-time night shifts. This role functions as the key liaison and supervisor during the evening and night shifts at either Regional Medical Center or Hopewell campus in the absence of senior management.

Essential Functions

  • Assist staff in identifying clinical and administrative priorities.
  • Communicate with external agencies using established guidelines.
  • Follow emergency preparedness and department-specific procedures.
  • Investigate incidents ensuring accurate documentation and response.
  • Coordinate nursing staff activities and review next shift patterns.
  • Make rounds to assess nursing care quality and respond to patient concerns.
  • Handle emergencies and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Address employee grievances and oversee new employee orientation collaboratively.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN required, Masters preferred. Requires at least five years of RN experience including leadership duties, along with various certifications such as AHA BLS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale Certification.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The role requires frequent walking, occasional sitting, standing, and occasional manual tasks. It also involves responding to emergencies, accident investigations, and operating in an environment with potential occupational exposures.
