Job Description: Quality Inspector, Mechanical
The Quality Inspector, Mechanical is responsible for:
- Performing detailed receiving, in-process, and final inspections on machined parts, composite parts, and mechanical assemblies.
- Reviewing and verifying supplier data packs including Certificates of Conformance, mechanical inspection reports, test data, and special process certifications.
- Identifying and documenting nonconformances, segregating suspect materials, and initiating supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).
- Maintaining accurate inspection records in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Collaborating with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve discrepancies prior to qualification and customer submission.
- Supporting internal and external audits and operating manufacturing computer systems for inspection record keeping.
- Implementing and maintaining a calibrated tool system and process.
Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- 6+ years experience in a regulated industry (aerospace, robotics, medical device, automotive, or equivalent).
- Prior experience with aerospace inspection processes and standards.
- Experience with ASME Y-14.5/GD&T; CMM experience preferred.
- Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and ASQ certifications is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items over 40 lbs.
- U.S. citizenship or appropriate legal work status per ITAR.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range is $52,272.00 - $78,535.00, determined by experience and market data. Benefits include extensive medical coverage, 401K, generous parental leave, paid flexible time off, commuter & parking benefits, mental health resources, and more.
