Join Canva in redefining how the world experiences design. As a Workplace Technology Engineer, you will design, build, operate, and improve systems that power our physical campuses.

Where and How You Can Work

This role is based at our Sydney campus with a hybrid working arrangement. Canva also operates campuses in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

Responsibilities

Build and Deliver Projects:

  • Contribute to office fitouts, system upgrades, and network rollouts.
  • Configure, install, and test equipment like Wi-Fi, Zoom Rooms, and security systems.
  • Partner with senior engineers on automation workflows and integrations.

Operate Day-to-Day:

  • Monitor and respond to incidents across AV, networks, and security platforms.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with vendors and internal teams.
  • Document fixes with playbooks and runbooks.

Improve and Automate:

  • Suggest improvements to reliability, usability, and automation.
  • Share learnings and build confidence with team members.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth office operations.

Candidate Profile

You bring 2–5 years of experience in IT, AV, networking, or security operations. You are adept at resolving complex problems with practical solutions and have hands-on experience with enterprise networks, conferencing systems, security and access control, and automation tools. Effective communication and a curiosity for new systems are key, along with some experience using AI to drive impact.

About the Team

This role is part of the Space Engineering team supporting Canva's global growth through innovative and seamless workplace technology solutions. It is not a narrow IT support role but a strategic position building the infrastructure that underpins our creative spaces.
