About the Role
The Senior FP&A Analyst/Manager will serve as a key strategic partner to Finance leadership and executive management. This position is responsible for core financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis that drives company-wide decisions, including headcount planning, unit economics, board materials, and long-range strategy. This is a highly visible role that requires close collaboration with business units to translate complex inputs into clear insights and support leaders in making informed trade-offs during Canopy's growth phase.
What You’ll Do
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Own and refine the company’s operating model, covering revenue, cost structure, headcount, and cash runway.
- Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with Finance, People Ops, Sales, Customer Experience, and Product teams.
- Support annual budgeting and long-range planning (2–3 year outlooks), including scenario and sensitivity analyses.
Business & Strategic Analysis
- Develop and maintain models for unit economics and customer profitability, specifically for healthcare SaaS and deployment-intensive environments.
- Analyze performance drivers across revenue, gross margin, deployment costs, and operating expenses.
- Partner with leaders to assess new initiatives, pricing strategies, hiring plans, and investment decisions.
Board & Executive Support
- Prepare comprehensive financial materials for board meetings, including variance analysis, KPIs, and forward-looking insights.
- Assist leadership with capital planning, fundraising preparedness, and the identification of financial risks and opportunities.
- Communicate complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with People Operations on workforce planning, headcount approvals, and compensation cost modeling.
- Partner with Sales & Customer Experience to understand pipeline dynamics, renewal, expansion, and deployment economics.
- Work with Accounting to ensure forecast accuracy and reporting integrity.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Enhance FP&A processes, tools, and reporting to support company scaling (e.g., forecasting cadence, dashboards, modeling standards).
- Help define KPIs and operating metrics that accurately represent business performance.
What We’re Looking For
- 4–7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, consulting, investment banking, or similar analytical roles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, including 3-statement models, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Experience supporting executive-level and/or board-level reporting.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills, with the ability to build models from scratch.
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or hardware-enabled SaaS sectors.
- Background in a startup or high-growth company environment.
- Familiarity with workforce planning, unit economics, or deployment-heavy cost models.
