About the Role
The Software Alliances Director, EMEA at Canonical works with leading software companies to optimize and integrate Canonical's products, including Ubuntu and our AI offerings, with partner solutions. This role involves developing joint product roadmaps, driving delivery, and creating go-to-market strategies that enable robust product life-cycle support anchored by best-in-class Canonical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Set strategic account plans for major regions and verticals.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, alliance, and marketing teams at partner companies.
- Capture partner requirements and identify Canonical opportunities.
- Create partner and customer-facing materials including webinars, presentations, and white papers.
- Drive Ubuntu adoption and enablement training across targeted accounts.
- Influence alliance partners to build with Canonical technology.
- Travel up to 25% for conferences and partnership meetings.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in business development, product management, or related fields with a successful track record in major accounts. A bachelor's degree in science, technology, or engineering is required, alongside excellent communication skills and the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
Preferred Experience
Experience with open source software and business models, product/program management, and familiarity with marketing/go-to-market strategies is highly desirable. Sector-specific experience in finance, telecommunications, automotive, or public sectors will be beneficial.
