Role Overview: Revenue Accountant

At Canonical, the Revenue Accountant will support our finance team by handling revenue recognition, month end reporting, audit processes, and improving financial procedures. This role is pivotal as we prepare the business for public market scrutiny through an upcoming IPO.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the month end reporting process to deliver timely, accurate financial information.
• Manage part of the revenue recognition process using IFRS 15 or ASC 606 standards.
• Support year end audit and statutory reporting.
• Improve financial processes and monitor compliance.
• Collaborate with team members and establish strong cross-department relationships.
• Actively develop skills in current standards and regulations.

Qualifications & What We Seek

• Exceptional academic record and proven career performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CPA, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with IFRS 15/ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience in a large public accounting firm or global corporate setting.
• NetSuite or similar system experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to four times per year.
