Role Overview
The Junior Project Manager at Canonical is responsible for ensuring project success through comprehensive project management, clear communication, and strong stakeholder engagement. This role involves managing multiple projects within a complex technological landscape including bare metal, cloud, and edge deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver programs and projects within schedule, scope, cost, and resource expectations.
- Identify technical and project risks and implement mitigating actions.
- Maintain strong customer focus and collaborate with key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular status meetings and business reviews with customers.
- Support delivery of critical third party project deliverables.
- Advocate for Canonical's portfolio of technologies to customers.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a solid academic background in science, software engineering, or information technology, coupled with excellent communication skills in English and a solution-oriented mindset. Demonstrated leadership and a proactive attitude in academic or extracurricular activities are essential.
- High academic achievement in relevant fields.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership demonstrated in academic or university projects.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year.
