Role Overview

The GitOps Engineering Manager role is a high-value position that integrates operations management, software engineering, product development, and team leadership. You will lead a high-performance team using agile devops practices, represent the IS team, coordinate projects and mentor engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in daily agile devops practices
  • Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
  • Organize, coordinate, and drive internal projects
  • Mentor engineers and implement structured engineering processes
  • Focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Ensure quality managed services meeting service level agreements

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a Linux and operations expert with a proven track record in devops team management and software delivery using infrastructure as code. You should have experience with cloud topologies, distributed systems, and agile methodologies.

  • Proven devops and gitops engineering management experience
  • Strong technical aptitude in Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies
  • Experience with agile software practices and infrastructure as code
  • Excellent track record and academic background
  • Ability to travel twice a year

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Ubuntu system administration
  • Experience in agile software development methodologies
  • Managing distributed teams
