Role Overview
The GitOps Engineering Manager role is a high-value position that integrates operations management, software engineering, product development, and team leadership. You will lead a high-performance team using agile devops practices, represent the IS team, coordinate projects and mentor engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team in daily agile devops practices
- Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
- Organize, coordinate, and drive internal projects
- Mentor engineers and implement structured engineering processes
- Focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Ensure quality managed services meeting service level agreements
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a Linux and operations expert with a proven track record in devops team management and software delivery using infrastructure as code. You should have experience with cloud topologies, distributed systems, and agile methodologies.
- Proven devops and gitops engineering management experience
- Strong technical aptitude in Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies
- Experience with agile software practices and infrastructure as code
- Excellent track record and academic background
- Ability to travel twice a year
Nice-to-have Skills
- Ubuntu system administration
- Experience in agile software development methodologies
- Managing distributed teams
