About the Financial Analyst Role
The Financial Analyst at Canonical is a core member of our FP&A and wider finance team. You will drive monthly business reviews, quarterly forecasting, annual planning, financial modeling, and cross-functional business alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze unit economics, variance drivers, and KPIs.
- Support quarterly and annual financial planning and reporting.
- Provide analysis of commercial initiatives with strategic impact.
- Create objective analyses and scale processes for efficient growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet financial and strategic targets.
Valued Skills And Experience
- Strong academic background and above-and-beyond drive.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, financial modeling, and fundamental accounting principles.
- Experience in a finance or analytically focused business role.
- Ability and willingness to travel twice a year.
Additional Skills That You Might Also Bring
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
- Experience with BI reporting, CRM/ERP systems, budgeting software, or data visualization tools.
