About the Financial Analyst Role at Financial Analyst
As a core member of Canonical's FP&A Team, the Financial Analyst drives monthly business reviews, quarterly forecasting, annual planning, and financial modeling. You will analyze unit economics, variance drivers, and KPIs, supporting commercial and strategic initiatives, and partnering with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business operations and unit economics.
- Support quarterly and annual financial planning and reporting.
- Analyze commercial initiatives with strategic and financial impact.
- Create objective analyses for data-driven decision making.
- Support cross-functional change projects and communicate progress.
Valued Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate has an exceptional academic record, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in spreadsheets and financial modeling, and excellent communication. Proven experience in finance or a related business role is required. Travel up to two times a year is expected for company events.
Additional Skills
A bachelor’s degree in finance or business; familiarity with Business Intelligence, CRM, ERP systems, budgeting, planning software, or data visualization tools is preferred.
