This paid, 10-week robust experience is based in our Melville, New York Headquarters, offering hands-on work in a global digital imaging leader.

What You’ll Do as a Finance & Accounting Summer Intern

You will gain invaluable hands-on work experience by participating in significant projects, learning and developing essential business skills, and contributing meaningfully to Canon's goals. You'll be exposed to world-class teams and initiatives through training, meetings, presentations, and other planned activities, acquiring marketable skills for your career transition. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance three days a week with the option to work from home two days, on a full-time (9 AM – 5 PM), 35-hour work week schedule.

Your Impact

The Finance & Accounting Summer Intern will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas within Canon’s Finance and Accounting organization. Throughout the 10-week program, you will rotate through a series of special projects and participate in core department activities, including:

  • Financial Systems: Help maintain and improve financial tools, reporting systems, and data accuracy.
  • Tax: Support tax filings, compliance tasks, and research initiatives.
  • Risk and Compliance: Participate in Vendor Risk analysis and Risk assessments.

Who You Are

We are looking for an undergraduate student who is currently a junior or will be entering their senior year as of Summer 2026, pursuing a major aligned to the department of interest (Accounting or Finance majors preferred). You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Chat, and Drive). You are a team player who can also work independently, bringing strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, along with a detail-oriented approach.
