Role Overview - Structural Design Engineer
The Structural Design Engineer at Cannon Corp supports project design, preparation of construction plans, and structural analysis for diverse engineering projects. Under the supervision of a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer, you will help develop designs and perform calculations for structural components.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing structural designs for various projects.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses.
- Create detailed construction plans conforming to company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements.
- Work within assigned budgets and timetables.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Architectural or Civil Engineering (with an emphasis on structures).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing.
- Knowledge in concrete, steel, and masonry systems.
- Experience with commercial structural analysis and design software.
- Familiarity with California Building Code and ASCE 7.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferred; EIT is a plus.
