Role Overview - Structural Design Engineer

The Structural Design Engineer at Cannon Corp supports project design, preparation of construction plans, and structural analysis for diverse engineering projects. Under the supervision of a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer, you will help develop designs and perform calculations for structural components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing structural designs for various projects.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analyses.
  • Create detailed construction plans conforming to company standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements.
  • Work within assigned budgets and timetables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architectural or Civil Engineering (with an emphasis on structures).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing.
  • Knowledge in concrete, steel, and masonry systems.
  • Experience with commercial structural analysis and design software.
  • Familiarity with California Building Code and ASCE 7.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferred; EIT is a plus.
