Job Details

Position Overview

As an Automation Technician III at Automation Technician III, you will maintain an automated material handling system. You are responsible for maintaining continuous system operation by troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and performing preventive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain systems and subsystems of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware including conveyor systems, chain, belting, rollers and drive motors.
  • Replace fieldbus communication components and perform diagnostics.
  • Reload software parameters for PLCs and industrial PCs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and calibrations on multi-axis robotic arms.
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities in Maximo.
  • Assist and train other technicians as required.

Work Environment & Schedule

Work in various warehouse conditions including grocery, perishable, and freezer environments. Shift hours are Wednesday-Saturday 8pm to 6:30am with a 4-day work week.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of 480, 277, and 120 volt electrical systems.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and network diagnostics.
  • Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics and mechanical diagrams.
  • Physical capability for equipment inspections and repairs.
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical studies or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with MS Office programs.
